Power Spelling (Level 3, 4, 5, 7)
 This course aims to reinforce the sounding and blending skills our children have acquired in our phonics courses to develop their spelling techniques and further improve their reading and literacy skills.
Teacher:
Ms Donna has over 10 years of teaching experience in both, learning centers and kindergartens. She has taught students from 3-15 years old in Hong Kong as well as adults in Madrial, Spain. Her specialities include teaching phonics, Trinity GCSE, Cambridge YLE, and creative writing courses among others.
She has obtained a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language(TEFL), before graduating from the Unicersity of Bradford.She is also a graduate of Sha Tin College (ESF), where she chose to study higher level English in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
Ms Angel has been with Power Elite for the past seven years and is one of our core teaching staff. Prior to the opening of the centre, she worked alongside Ms Anita at the YWCA where she taught spelling and phonics classes. Ms Angel has a passion for making a difference in young children’s lives and enjoys applying the techniques she acquired from the Jolly Phonics Training and Enopi Workshop to help her students develop the necessary skills for learning English. Following students’ week-by-week progress and seeing them share their enjoyment with parents is one of her most rewarding parts of teaching.

Area of Focus : Blending and Spelling of 'Consonant Blend - Short Vowel - Consonant' Words (eg. crack, dwelt, spilt, strong, blunt). A total of 121 short vowel families and 30 high frequency words will be covered.
